About TLC
We think it’s a crying shame that there are still many people a long way from meaningful, fulfilling lives, with work or without. So, we set about changing that.
Transform Lives Company is an established social enterprise [working in the North-West] dedicated to not just transforming people’s lives but transforming the way we can do this. Our developmental support really is life changing. We have shown the effectiveness of our approach and the positive outcomes it brings through our award-winning GiveGetGo programme, developed with the University of Liverpool. We work with partners looking to collaborate to bring about social action beyond their core purpose. Our approach is truly person-centred. We start with kindness, understanding the difficult situations many people find themselves in.
Main Role
Do you know where to go and who to speak to, to engage with people who are Economically Inactive(EI)? Can you build trust and rapport with people who have often had negative experiences in the past of employment support? Can you help them to create and own their own plan of action to make a positive change in their life? Then we’d like to hear from you.
Duties:
- To engage people living in Halton who are classed as Economically Inactive (EI) to make a positive change in their lives.
- Co-ordinate and promote and run engagement activities to encourage a diverse range of unemployed people to connect, participate and register. Support them to progress on to training, coaching, employability or work-related support such as placements and volunteering.
- Create a network of organisations such as DWP who can refer EI people to you and who you can signpost to for specialist support.
- Regularly base yourself in a variety of settings including other organisations, creating trust, profile and promoting your support, so that people are aware of our work and how we can support them.
- Meet people where they feel most comfortable. In cafes, community centres etc…..
- Create action plans together, supporting people to map out their journey towards and into employment and training.

You will be co-ordinating the activity, bringing in our trained coaches to provide more in-depth support, linking to other organisations, or arrange links with wellbeing activities that exist in other organisations. The aim is that people from all backgrounds and situations in life will have somewhere they can reflect, build new confidence, learn techniques that support them every day.
- Be responsible for your own targets and paperwork including registration and progressions into employment and training.
This is a team and a place where you can shine, where you can exercise your knowledge and experience.
Your Talents:
