2024 was a year of ups and downs for Moon. It was challenging and disappointing at times, but also filled with good friends and memorable moments.

The year started with some tough challenges. They had to deal with getting the roof fixed due to leaks, and maintaining a positive outlook was difficult at times. The problem with their kidneys also reached a crisis point, which was definitely the lowest moment of the year.

Despite these challenges, Moon is proud of several accomplishments. They volunteered at The Whitechapel Centre as a receptionist, ran the Fibre Arts group at Spider Project, and assisted with art workshops at the Green Belt Festival. Moon also stepped out of their comfort zone by attending a meet-the-employer event with Age UK Wirral. Additionally, they took good care of their cat's health.

Throughout the year, Moon received support from various sources. Friends were a constant source of encouragement, and they made happy memories with them, like the festival. Moon also found support from organisations like TLC and the Spider Project, which helped them feel cared for and supported.

Moon learnt that sometimes it's better to accept things that can't be changed and that there are good people around who can be relied on. They also realised the importance of not taking their dad's words to heart too much and the value of finding the right support early on.

By the end of the year, Moon's mental health had improved compared to previous years. They also developed good habits like writing poetry and blogs, which helped with their mental health. However, they recognised the need to be more mindful of gaming habits and household upkeep.

Reflecting on 2024, Moon sees how important it is to have the right support and to focus on personal growth. The festival was a highlight that made them realise a passion for art group facilitation. Moving forward, Moon hopes to continue building on these experiences and make even more positive changes in life.
