Geocaching! - Move More in May

We've recently discovered Geocaching - it's a fun way to get more steps in as the weather improves. It's an outdoor activity in which participants seek out containers called geocaches, which can be tracked via your mobile phone.

Once you find the cache, you sign the log book and hide it once again. It is essentially a big game of hide and seek, with thousands of caches to be found all over the country! This video explains in more detail, and you can find out what geocaches are near you by downloading the app here.

Last week, myself (Kaitlyne), Karen and our little helper Freddie met in Princes Park for a geocache hunt. You'll see in our first video that we struggled to find the first cache, but moved onto the second and Karen's sharp eye spotted it within minutes! It was a lot of fun and a fantastic way to get a walk in on a lovely day.

We loved discovering this unique way to move more, and it's a great activity if you have little ones and find it difficult to be active whilst balancing home life. Even if you don't find the caches, it's a great opportunity to be out in nature and get some daily exercise in.

Tip: the geocaches can be hidden in some unusual places so we recommend taking a pair of tweezers and some hand gel!
