Job summary

We are looking for a mature and creative individual who would thrive taking on the role of office manager for a young and growing design company based in the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool. Although the initial position is set for just 6 months, a candidate that embraces the role and makes themselves invaluable to the business will potentially be offered a longer permanent position. The position offered combines two key roles; office manager and environmental blogger. As environmental blogger, you will be responsible for shadowing our staff and learning about how our practice seeks to reduce the impact and adapt to climate change and research various techniques that help us improve our efforts.  You will blog and post on social media about what you have learnt and what inspires you about it.  As office manager you will be responsible for keeping the studio in a safe and tidy condition and acting as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for new clients, our coworkers and visitors. You will be keeping the team on track and helping out with various clerical, project management and admin tasks. You will also soon become a familiar face to our existing clients, keeping them up to speed on project progress. Other various duties will include; · Coordinate activities throughout the company to ensure efficiency and maintain compliance with company policy · Manage agendas, travel plans and appointments for staff · Manage emails, letters, packages, phone calls and other forms of correspondence · Assist colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so ·  Completing staff CPD records · Setting up fortnightly CPD sessions ·Purchasing needs as required - print cartridges,                            

Essential skills, experience and qualifications

We are a small team looking for a creative individual who cares about the environment.  It is important to us that we all enjoy coming to work and  have a professional, mature attitude  and a cooperative ‘can-do’ personality. The candidate must have the ability to take ownership of their duties and lead others to ensure that tasks are completed as and when required. You will be responsible for speaking to clients, meeting guests and in telling other members of staff to complete various administration duties and so must have the confidence in speaking to others, and reflecting the business in a positive way. Written and verbal communication skills are therefore essential. Computer skills on PC’s and in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel etc) are essential.  Training in further bespoke programmes will be provided.
