With many of us now spending more time sedentary, and with heightened levels of anxiety, our gut may also be feeling the effects of Covid-19. Eating more fibrous foods such as pulses and beans, as well as including live yoghurts and probiotics, may help if you’re a little more irregular than usual.

Hydration is also key in this department, try keeping a large water bottle to hand to help you on your way to achieving that magical 1.5 litres.

The connection between our gut, brain and mental health is complex and pretty fascinating (to me anyway!) Maybe we’ll save the gory details for another time…
