Tracy Fishwick Managing Director of TLC makes the WISE100 (Women in Social Enterprise 100) recognising inspiring and influential women in social enterprise, impact investment and social innovation

This weeks Guest Blogger is Helen Furnivall from High Rise Communications telling us why she felt our MD Tracy Fishwick deserved to make the WISE100 list……..

“Tracy runs her own successful social enterprise, Transform Lives Company, supporting people into employment. Not only that she was one of the founders of, and is the Director for, the People’s Powerhouse movement which aims to create a North that works for all and to give a voice to far more people across the North in the decisions that affect their lives. The People’s Powerhouse was originally founded by Tracy and Jo Miller, Chief Executive of Doncaster Council due to their exasperation that women were being excluded from the decisions that affected the North. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/feb/15/female-council-chiefs-stage-rival-all-male-northern-powerhouse-conference

As Director of Transform Lives Company, Tracy is a passionate advocate for giving more people a chance and for businesses across Merseyside and the North-West to help support local talent back into the workplace. She rightly says any of us could lose our jobs or become unable to work through whatever life decides to throw at us and so we all have a role to play in doing things differently.

One of the most important things I’ve learned from Tracy is that we can all do something to help and any action, however small, is better than nothing. So if you’re looking for a bit of inspiration and to get involved in creating a better North why not come along come along to the People’s Powerhouse event in Bradford on November 20? It will be an opportunity to hear from Tracy along with other people who are working hard to create a North that truly works for everyone.”
