PEOPLE’S POWERHOUSE CO-ORDINATOR; salary £25-£30k depending on skills

North West based but must be mobile across the North. Flexible working options considered as are secondee applications. From a response to gender inequality, the People’s Powerhouse has developed rapidly into a movement for change seeking to influence and transform the fortunes of people in the North.

Our fundamental belief is that prosperous economies rely on strong communities and people. Traditional economic models are not working for many people who feel fragile and insecure. Support and engagement in our vision is high and 2019 is all about building on the People’s Powerhouse Charter we launched in Bradford in 2018. With the support of influential people across civic society and business, we especially want to continue our focus on connecting people to power, raising the profile of alternative models of inclusive growth where resources generated are reinvested back in thriving places and people in the North.

With an influential Steering Group to work with and many influential bodies sharing the vision, we’re looking for someone who is committed to being bold, collaborative, open and informed. You need to be people oriented, socially minded, interested in social justice; excellent at working with complexity, ambiguity, being responsive and creative enough to work with a fluid strategy; an excellent influencer able to work with a myriad of stakeholders, interest groups, people, agencies and businesses.

If you’re ready for a wider role across the North, in one of the most exciting new organisations, with passionate people who want to create meaningful change, get in touch!
